We can conduct a number of tests to measure your tank’s integrity, including:
- Hydrostatic Pressure Test: Filling the tank with water and pressurizing to 150% of its Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP) to check for leaks in the shell, seams, and welds.
- Pneumatic Pressure Test: Using air or inert gas (like nitrogen) to pressurize the tank (often 25% of MAWP) to find leaks in fittings, valves, and seals, sometimes using a soap solution.
- Internal & External Visual Inspection: Detailed checks for damage, corrosion, contamination, structural issues, and proper functioning of all parts.
- Safety Relief Valve (SRV) Test: Bench testing the valve to ensure it opens and closes correctly at set pressures.
- Leak Testing (Post-Hydrotest): After draining water and reinstalling components, a final leak test confirms integrity.
